The working group in charge of reviewing the Municipal Plan to Combat Sexual Violence against Children and Adolescents  held its monthly meeting on October 28. In addition to its members, this meeting was attended by Lídia Rodrigues, a social educator and activist in the fight against sexual violence against children and adolescents, who brought reflections on the influence of patriarchy on values ​​and references of adolescents and young people and how it negatively impacts the high rates of sexual violence perpetrated against children and adolescents. Lídia also reinforced the need to debate the issue of sexuality in educational spaces as an essential tool for information and prevention of this type of violence. Representatives of various governmental institutions and civil society organizations attended the meeting. Andrea Romani (CEPIA) was the moderator along with América Ungaretti of the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents of Rio de Janeiro.
