September 28th is the Day of the Struggle for the Decriminalization and Legalization of Abortion in Latin America and the Caribbean. In celebration of the date, the Rio de Janeiro State Magistrates School, through its Gender, Race and Ethnicity Research Group (NUPEGRE) is promoting a cycle of debates on sexual and reproductive rights. The event, which takes place on September 22, had the presentations of Jacqueline Pitanguy (CEPIA), on The architecture of reproductive rights: construction and dismantling, Thomaz Gollop, on Reflections of the ordinances of the Ministry of Health and decisions about violence and Ana Teresa Derraik Barbosa, on Reproductive Rights and the health unit: when the law is a law, but it is not in fact !.
