Continuing work during the period of social isolation, on May 5th, Leila Linhares Barsted, CEPIA’s Executive Coordinator, participated, in a virtual meeting, of the Maria da Penha Law Consortium for Confronting All Forms of Gender-Based Violence Against Women —group formed by Feminist NGOs CEPIA, CFEMEA, CLADEM, THEMIS, activists and researchers working to defend women’s rights. During this meeting strategies of actions were discussed foccused on the increased number of women victims of violence during covid times.
