Two Swedish organizations, the Swedish Institute and Kivinna Till Kivinna, held, in late November, an international seminar for the 25th anniversary of the UN Women’s Conference that took place in Beijing. For 3 days, 25 human rights activists from various parts of the world gathered in Stockholm, weaving joint strategies to defend the achievements achieved in Beijing.
Jacqueline Pitanguy representing CEPIA attended the workshop and was also a speaker at an event open to the public and attended by the Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs, where she presented an overview of the setbacks that have been taking place in Brazil in various fields and especially regarding gender equality and sexual and reproductive rights.
