The seminar “Adolescences, Health and Rights” brought together representatives of various institutions that participated in a set of activities carried out by CEPIA, from 2018 to 2019, aiming to train and empower adolescents and young people about their rights. Held at the Calouste Gulbekian Arts Center on November 29th, the meeting, organized by CEPIA, brought together around 60 people, including representatives of Rio de Janeiro municipal schools, including students and education professionals, representatives of the Municipal and State Health Departments, of the Education Department, including representatives of the Health at School Program (PSE), and representation of civil society organizations. The meeting, which had testimonials from the adolescents themselves, aimed to discuss the challenges and impacts of the project that led to various workshops with adolescents from various sectors addressing issues related health and rights, specially sexual and reproductive health and to reflect on the importance of intersectoral actions in the promotion of adolescent and youth rights.
The event ended with artistic activities and building perspectives for 2020.
