On July 25, in Furnas, the 6th ordinary meeting of FEPETI-RJ was held, bringing together representatives of governmental organizations and civil society from various municipalities of the state of Rio de Janeiro. On the occasion was presented the III National Plan for Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor and Protection of Adolescent Worker, effective until 2022, as well as the work of ViraVida developed by SESI Citizenship.

Also presented were the activities carried out during the months of May and June in commemoration of May 18th – National Day to Combat Sexual Violence against Children and Adolescents – and June 12th – International Day against Child Labor.

Maria America Diniz Reis and Andrea Romani, who are part of the FEPETI-RJ Working Group on Sexual Violence, presented the record of the activities carried out during May and Deildo Jacinto dos Santos and Luan presented the impact of the event held on the 12th June, which brought together over 1,000 around the theme of child labor.

The evaluations were very positive regarding the scope and diversity of activities performed. On the other hand, the need for permanent actions to sensitize society regarding the prevention and eradication of the various forms of exploitation of children and adolescents was stressed.
