On May 17th, was held a Colloquium that brought together about 25 participants, most of them specialists in the rights of children and adolescents and in sexual violence. This event aimed to promote a debate on the legal instruments in force to help children and adolescents victims of sexual violence and, more specifically, recently amended the Laws (Law 13.431-‐2017 and Decree 9.063 / 2018) that determine how victims should be attended and what are the procedures for listening to the victims’ statements. Important information was shared on how to improve laws and ensure that it includes the needs of adolescents and that they avoid re-victimization.
