It is with great joy that CEPIA shares the tribute given to Nair Jane by the Women’s Rights Commission of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro, as part of the celebrations of the month of women.
Nair, who is a member of the CEPIA Board of Directors, is the founder of the Rio de Janeiro Domestic Workers Union and has worked for many years in women’s movements at the municipal and federal levels. She played an important role in the 1988 constituent in defense of women’s rights. She is currently vice-president of the Municipal Council of Women’s Rights of Nova Iguaçu.
