The government of President Lula da Silva is committed to recreating the National Commission for Population and Development, CNPD, an important body with equal representation of civil society and the government and which will advise the government and monitor the population agenda. Richarlls Martins, president of REBRAPD – Brazilian Network for Population and Development –  and member of the CEPIA governance, and Jacqueline Pitanguy participated in the meeting of the Working Group for the installation of this Commission. The meeting took place in Brasília, at the Planalto Palace on August 17th.
