..On October 15th, Cepia, with the support of Ford Foundation, held a seminar on Violence against Women and Access to Justice: challenges to the implementation of the Maria da Penha Law, presenting the results on the research Violence against women and access to justice, that was done in five capital cities (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Salvador Recife and Porto Alegre) having as main axis the reflect on the effectiveness in the implementation of Law 11.340/2006. ..The World Health organization (WHO) has promoted a Technical
Consultation  on research leads to widen contraceptive choice, and on operationalizing WHO policy recommendations for expanding family planning coverage and access. The consultation took place in Montreusx, in April 2013 ,and Jacqueline Pitanguy, from CEPIA, participated.

..The decision of the Bazilian Supreme Court in favor of the right of a women to interrupt the pregnancy in cases of anencephalic disease is competing for the Award Gender and Justice Uncovered Awards.
